What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday, friends! I am linking up with This Kind of Love @ www.littledaisymay.blogspot.com/ for What I'm Loving Wednesday! Here are a few things that I am loving this week :)

LOOOOOVE this Christmas CD!! I have not listened to anything but this CD and all the Christmas songs on 89.3 KSBJ (for those of you in Houston) since Saturday! If you are looking for a new Christmas CD, get this one!

This movie, Crazy Stupid Love, was SO good. It is one of those movies I could watch over and over again. I loved the story line and character's and especially the ending!

LOVE all of this cute holiday wrapping!! I really want to try some of these cute wrapping techniques on my Christmas gifts this year...I just need to learn how to make big bows.

Love love love Pippa's coat! I NEED this!

And last but not least I love my husband and love free nights and weekends we finally have together. The past few months have been insanely busy and I felt like we were not getting to spend much time together but now that football season is pretty much over and I am not traveling for over a month we have plenty of nights & weekends together :)

What are you loving today?

Hubby Turned 30!!

Last Friday, November 25, Chris turned 30! We spent the morning in Oklahoma since we had been there for a few days for Thanksgiving and flew back to Texas around lunch. We spent the afternoon in The Woodlands with my parents and had Thanksgiving Round 2 and opened gifts. Then, Saturday night was the big party. We had dinner with 2 other couples at Soma Sushi in Houston then headed to Hughes Hangar for a couple drinks. We ended the night with table reservations & bottle service at Roak on Kirby with about 25 friends! It was SUCH a fun night (probably a little too much fun) celebrating my hubby's 30th birthday with everyone!

If you are looking for new places to go out or maybe have book a holiday party, these 2 bars are really nice and big:

{Gifts In A Jar}

On a budget this year? Looking for a small gift to give to your co-workers? Or, just want a fun, easy DIY gift? Give a gift in a jar!! I am LOVING this idea! I have found so many cute ideas on Pinterest and other blogs for these little gifts. You can do a themed jar or my personal favorite, a soup mix, cookie mix or drink mix! Add a cute bow, ribbon or label and you have a super cute and cheap gift to give.

Back in the swing of things

What a craaaazy month November has been! I am so looking forward to December. I will not be traveling for work again until January and I just LOVE this time of year!

I have not been able to blog much lately so here are a few updates:

- We are hoping to get an offer on our house this week!! We have 3 couples that are really interested in it and our realtor is expecting an offer to come thru at any time now! YAY!!! Let's just hope it is an offer we like :)

- Our new house is coming right along! It is still on track to be ready in the middle or end of February. We went to see it on Saturday and the sheet rock is up, the plumbing and electric outlets have been installed and it has a roof! This is it as of Saturday morning:

- Chris and I are starting to train for The Woodlands Half-Marathon today! Whohoo! It is just a little over 4 months away. This will be my 5th Half-Marathon and his first. I have been in a major funk with running this past year but I am going to try to get back into it. I always go thru phases with running...I do really well for a few months then I get burnt out and just quit running all together. Maybe (hopefully!) this time will be different :)

- Chris turned 30 last Friday!! We had such a fun day celebrating with his family in Oklahoma then spending the evening with my family in The Woodlands. Then, we went out with about 25 of our friends on Saturday night and had a little too much fun. ;) Pictures to come tomorrow!

- The next couple of weeks are going to be filled with a lot of Christmas fun...I have a couple Pinterest projects in the works, finishing up Christmas shopping, a lot of baking & cooking, Christmas music & scents, parties and family and friends. I. can. not. wait.

Happy Monday!

Our Weekend in Hollywood- Day 1

Almost 2 weeks ago I had to go to Los Angeles for work. One of the great things about getting to travel for work is that sometimes my husband gets to come meet me at the end of my work trip and we will have a mini-vacation over the following weekend! Chris came and met me in LA on Thursday night and we spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and Malibu. I have ALWAYS wanted to go to these places...I wanted to eat at the same places celebs eat, go out to places I have seen in magazines and shows, see spots where movies were filmed, etc. Well- we did it ALL! It was one of our favorite trips we have ever been on. So, here is a recap of our first day in Hollywood:
(Warning: there are going to be A LOT of pictures!)

View of the Hollywood sign from our hotel, The Renaissance Hollywood. We LOVED our hotel. It was overlooking the Chinese Theater and the Walk of Stars, walking distance to Sunset Blvd and only 10 minutes from Beverly Hills.

Why hello Rob Pattinson!

We took a 3 hour bus tour to see all the celeb homes, places movies were filmed, etc. This was one of the best parts of our trip! You get to see and learn so much in a short amount of time. This is a view of the Celebrity Rehab house from Mulholland Drive. Can you imagine being in rehab and having this pool and view?!

The most expensive men's clothing in the world on Rodeo Drive. You can not even go inside this store without checking in with the "hostess" at the front door.

Rodeo Drive!!

Beautiful restaurant in the Hollywood Hills overlooking all of LA. We had dinner here the first night and loved it!

We managed to get on the guest list of one of the best nightclubs in LA, Eden! We had dinner at Yamashiro then headed here. It was so fun and reminded me of the clubs in Miami!

When we got back to our room late that night the nicest concierge in the world, John, had sent this to our room. Somehow he ended up thinking we were on our Honeymoon! Also, when he made our dinner reservations for us at Yamashiro he must have told them it was our Honeymoon because they brought us a free appetizer and said "This is from John, your concierge" He was so sweet! :)

Our first day included a lot of walking around the Chinese Theater, Kodak Theater, Walk of Fame. We ate breakfast at the famous Du-Par's in Studio City and spent 3 hours on one of the bus tours. We had lunch at the Pig-N-Whistle on Hollywood Blvd, took a 3 hour nap then headed out for the night. Day 1 was a blast!! I love Hollywood!! Next up...day 2- The Muppets Movie Premier, lunch at The Ivy, shopping on Melrose Ave and more!
